Add a Call to Action to Your WordPress Posts with WP Post Footer

We’re big fans of WordPress here at Atlantic Dominion Solutions, and have been using it since 2007. Over that time, we’ve added many different plugins to help our readers share content, comments, and more. Sometimes though plugins don’t exist for what you need, and you have to go custom. Luckily I know an awesome firm here in Orlando that are WordPress gods – xentek. Eric Marden and crew just wrote a plugin for us – WP Post Footer –  that allows the management and insertion of content into the bottom of any WordPress post.

What this does is allow us to create specific calls to action that we can manage and then easily insert into the bottom of our posts. Our friends in the marketing world will love us.

And we open sources the plugin! Anyone with the powers of Git can fork the project and do as they wish. Grab the plugin today and get to blogging!

    I installed the plugin but didnt' work. basically I created teh code snippet but it doesn't show at the footer of the posts
  • Hi Dynamo,

    We have an update to the plugin to work with WP 2.9.1. If you get the latest from GitHub, be sure to name the folder wp_post_footer. If that doesn't work, try wp-post-footer.

  • John... you probably know that HubSpot's business blog software allows you to put a call to action in the footer of your blog posts and your RSS feed (can be different for each).
  • Thanks for the comment Mike. I've seen you speak over in Tampa and always enjoy listening to you. Since I use Wordpress (and Hubspot but moving 600+ posts wasn't in the cards), we created the plugin to help. If someone is using Hubspot though stick with that.
