Scrum’d Release 12.1.09

We’re happy to announce our latest update to Scrum’d, chock full of many of the goodies our customers have been asking for. Here’s the list of what’s new as of today.

  • Multiple admins (Jim Hoskins) – The account owner (the person who signs up for scrum’d) can now make another person an admin for the account. This admin can do everything the account owner can (manage users and projects) but cannot manage the billing details for the account.
  • Stakeholder role (Chad Kouse) – Need a manager or another person from the customer team to see what’s going on? Add them as a stakeholder to the project. They can see everything, but they can monkey with nothing.
  • Burndown charts work as they should (Eric Marden and others) –  The sprint and release burndown charts now work as they should, showing from the start to the end of the sprint, based on the dates that you select.
  • Closing releases (Robert Dempsey) – A ScrumMaster can close a release, which will keep it from showing up in the upper section of the project planning tab, keeping the closed stuff out of your way
  • Add an estimated line to the burndown charts (Marcus Whitney) – in addition to fixing the burndown charts, we’ve added another line so you can see estimated vs. actual for a sprint and the release
  • Pricing page type (Marc Guyer) – I’ve improved my grasp of the English language and updated the pricing page to say “you’re” instead of “your.” Stupid typo on my part.

More Is On The Way

Our goal with Scrum’d is to go beyond simple management of a project and making it a truly collaborative endeavor. To that end, we have ceased development on Expens’d, and are now dedicating 90% of our product development time to Scrum’d, with the other 10% allocated to Local Digerati, Prioritz’d, and a few other little apps we’re working on. Please keep the feedback coming on the Get Satisfaction site. We want to make Scrum’d a product that you look forward to using.

Are You a Startup? Get a FREE Year of Scrum’d

If you’re a startup, which we’ll define as less than one year in business, we’ll give you a free year of the Scrum’d corporate account, for free. To take advantage of this offer, send me a message on Twitter. Tell me about what you all are up to (via a phone call), and we’ll get you hooked up.

Not a Startup But Still Want Scrum’d for Free?

Well guess what my friends. You are in luck. It was suggested to us that we provide our Indy plan for free, and now we are. All we ask in return is that you provide us constructive feedback on how we can make Scrum’d better. Do that by posting an idea on our Get Satisfaction site.

Oh Yes, There’s More – Agile Resources

You thought I was done? Noper, there’s more. We’ve started building out an entire Agile resources section of our site. We have videos, presentations, and more to help you get started with Agile, or fine tune your existing process. Don’t see what you need? Let us know what you need and we’ll work on adding it to the site. And look for Agile webinars coming soon.
