Get Your Cheddar With Our New Gems

CheddarGetter

As part of our new effort to open source as much code as we can, we are happy to announce that Justin Blake (our fearless CTO) has completed the first production version of cheddargetter, a Ruby wrapper for the excellent CheddarGetter service. Grab the codez for free. Justin’s next project is cheddargetter-rails, which adds CheddarGetter hooks into a Customer model in your Rails app. Both of these gems were written for use in our apps – Scrum’d and Expens’d. Cheddargetter-rails is being extracted right out of Scrum’d.

CheddarGetter is a plug-in subscription management and billing system, and a product of SproutBox, an elite crew of product developers, creatives and business expert that invest their talent in startup companies with high growth potential in exchange for equity. Other products (or sprouts as they call them) that have come out of SproutBox are ScheduleThing, DecideAlready, and their latest SquadEdit.

  • Hey thanks guys! We're really excited that you've open-sourced these gems. It'll make integrating Ruby and Rails apps with CheddarGetter that much easier. We'll keep an eye on the progress and contribute when we develop additional features of our PHP wrapper (http://github.com/marcguyer/cheddargetter-clien...).

We wish you all the best in your cheddar acquisition endeavors.
