I’m super pumped about participating in the Rails Rumble again this weekend. This will be my third year and it’s been a blast every time.
Last year we teamed up with Erika Greco of Domo to build Prioritiz’d, which I still use every day, along with the hundreds of others who’ve signed up since we launched. We didn’t win anything, but the experience was more than worth it. It was my first rumble with a full team of four people, and that is definitely the way to go. We had very clearly defined responsibilities, and were able to knock out the core features with time left over for polish. It’s a testament to how far web development has come, and to the open-source tools like Rails that we use regularly, that so many great apps can be built in such a short amount of time.
This year I’ll be working with Erika again, her partner Levin Sadsad, and Bill Evans from squareFACTOR. The contest starts in a little over seven hours. I’m ready. Are you ready? Because I’m ready.
Lets do this.
