Scrum’d Updates and Roadmap

by Robert Dempsey on March 17, 2009

Tonight, after extensive testing, we’re going to be updating scrum’d with bug fixes and a few other UI updates.

Fixes

  • As a User, when I go to a project, if there is no one assigned to the project I go to the people tab first
  • As an account owner, if I am not added to the project I can still add tasks to stories via the Sprint Planning page
  • Design is broken in view account page
  • Don’t show the product owner the close sprint button
  • As a product owner, and not an account owner, I can edit tasks in the sprint planning page for an in-progress sprint
  • As a product owner, and not an account owner, I can edit tasks in the sprint backlog page for an in-progress sprint
  • Cannot delete users from an account
  • Expand/collapse on the sprint planning page has issues

We also have the following bugs on our “to squash” list:

  • Tasks don’t show up under user stories when all stories are expanded

  • The expand/collapse toggle on the product planning page causes rjs issues

  • Toggle issues on the product planning page

On Twitter, @barroyo mentioned that we’re missing features, and was wondering what the roadmap for scrum’d is. Great feedback and a great question. Don’t forget to post all of your feature requests on our support site under the “share an idea” section. The more people that like your idea, the higher up the list it goes. My philosophy is to launch an app with a base set of features and then let our users tell us what they want. So, here’s what’s on our list, in user story format. After all, we’re agile too.

The Scrum’d Roadmap

  • As as User, I can capture information for a project in a wiki
  • As the Account Owner I can close a project so that I it doesn’t count against my project count
  • As the site I keep an audit log of actions users are taking on records
  • As a User I can see the audit log on a record
  • As a User I can see the total number of hours for all tasks in a sprint
  • As a Scrum Team member, I can create a task on a user story on the sprint backlog
  • As a Scrum Team member I can see the Scrum Team member that has taken on a task
  • As the ScrumMaster I can see the Scrum Team member that has taken on a task
  • As a User I can see the tasks for each user story in a closed sprint
  • As a User I can view the user stories for closed sprints
  • As an Account Admin I can set the resource limits for my account
  • As an Account Admin I can view how many resources I have available on a weekly basis
  • As a User I can attach files to a release
  • As a User I can attach files to a sprint
  • As a User I can attach files to a user story
  • As a User I can attach files to a task
  • As a User I can view the actual hours spent on the sprint burndown chart
  • As a User I can receive emails in HTML format
  • Create videos in addition to the inline help
