Rails 2.1.1 was released this morning. Per the official post, the REXML vulnerability has been fixed, along with myriad other fixes. To install the update simply type:

gem install rails --version 2.1.1

at the command line and you are good to go. And, it looks like Rails 2.2. beta is just around the corner. Stay tuned.
