Damn luck! Do it with the ADS Podcast.

by Robert Dempsey on October 29, 2007

ADS is happy to announce the launch of the ADS Podcast. The ADS Podcast will focus on the business side of development. Using lessons and advice from successful entrepreneurs and other business people, as well as the lessons that we have learned building Atlantic Dominion Solutions, you will be taken step-by-step through the process of building a thriving and exciting business. We look forward to your feedback. Thanks for listening, and thanks to everyone to voted in our survey.

  • Are you going to make a feed for the podcast itself? If so, please make it compatible with the format required for iTunes (you don't have to register the podcast with iTunes) If the feed is in a format iTunes will understand I can select "Subscribe to Podcast" and keep up to date.
  • Gavin,

We are working on that as I type this. Thanks for the feedback.

  • Gavin,

Your wish is our command. Please see the updated links on the post - you can now subscribe via iTunes or download the file directly. Thanks!

  • It would be nice to have an embedded player in the page to listen to the mp3.
  • Thanks for the idea. We will see what we can do for that.
  • I enjoyed your first podcast but it seems to not be quite working with my player (which I use to play lots of other podcasts without a problem). It downloads and plays the file correctly but there is some kind of timestamp issue because after I get done listening to the podcast and delete the show it will show back up again. It seems to always have today's date for the podcast date. This is real annoying because I can never get rid of it.

The podcast player I am using is Rhythmbox which is the default player on Gnome (Linux) if you want to test.
  • Eric,

That is odd. Did you download the podcast from the site? Try this URL:

    http://www.avmypodcast.com/viewmypodcast.asp?pi...

I don't have Linux (I am on a Mac) but can ask a friend to check. Too bad Apple doesn't have iTunes for Linux!
  • Still getting the problem. This is the only feed I have ever had any problem with. Oh well.
  • Eric,

We updated the podcast feed to use FeedBurner - http://feeds.feedburner.com/ADSPodcast. Let us know if downloading it via the new URL will work. If not, I will call on a pro to see what is going on. Thanks.
