The JRuby team released version 1.0 today, the goal of which is Ruby compatibility. Download it from the JRuby site and get started. This is just the beginning for the project, so join the community and help out. One cool thing to note is that ThoughtWorks is going to provide commercial support for JRuby. Don’t forget to check out our tutorial on getting JRuby up and running on Mac OS X. We will update the tutorial for version 1.0, and remove the unnecessary step of building JRuby from source.
